The whole body of a woman is attractive Maybe  . There are some parts (eg nostrils, ingrown toenails, lower intestines, etc) that I don't find attractive, and some women with no attractive body parts. IMHO. By the way, the vast majorrity of Muslim women who cover up do this because they are ...

Some women find men's chests, shoulders, arms, legs, neck, face, eyes, mouths funny also.

Anyway, aren't we back to where we started? Covering up fun objects :? ?

But Sharewadi, he's not dealing with Saudi. I'd have to say for someone to hold that against you, they'd have to be pretty small minded. Plus very few of the big agencies here are run by locals, and employ people from all over the world. They should judge you on your work and merit, not a website i...

Trouble with the incumbent is that it's an old work horse and it's upper layers cascading to the roots are stale and I'd hedge a bet that their ineptitute leads to their inability to manage in a changing market. "Ineptitute"? Is that a kind of musical instrument? I wouldn't have thought t...

Solving traffic problems in Dubai the 7days way

Ya gotta love this newspaper. Funniest letters I've read in a long time. This one suggests a novel solution (although it's not without precedent).   As an aside, apparently a journalist visiting Saudi a couple of years back asked a police official (the chief of police I t...

Let's stay healthy - give all tourists an Aids test...

Er, not my idea. But from Human Rights department at Dubai Police according to 7days today. Might be tricky to implement. Maybe everyone buys an e-gate card on arrival and a needle jabs you as you stick your finger on the scanner ... Tourists could face AIDS test ------------------------------------...

Re: can enthusiasm get me a job?

Enthusiasm on its own won't get you a job, but a lack of enthusiasm will almost certainly stop you from getting one. Be genuinely enthusiastic. Easy if you have a job with a company that the bank has on their approved companies list (will differ from bank to bank). Banks are keen to lend money and interest rates are not too outrageous - much better than credit cards. A couple of caveats though... You won't be able to open a bank account (an...

because they have the money, power and influence. Quite. That's what drives major change ultimately - read any history book. Arafat understood that in the 1970s. how dangereous can a bunch of kids be, and how much harm they can do to an armed soldier? A bunch of kids shot people dead in Columbine a few years ago. In Brazil, kids are shooting people dead every day (forgot name of film about those slum areas). In Africa, wars are fought with child soldiers.

Nothing would stop Muslims from exercising 100 times more power than the Jews (proportionate to our numbers), but Muslims lack this fraternity of the Jews. I can't see it being an issue. The kind of people who will be viewing the site and recruiting you are 99% likely to be expats, and even if they are local muslims, they're likely to have open minds and be less shockable anyway if they are working in design/advertising/media. But one Muslim says... I...

Well in principle it's a good idea, but not sure how you'd implement it. Definately the working girls should be tested. Ah sorry C and K :(, but in principle I think it's worse than pointless, as well as impractical - UAE is expecting 15 million tourists annually by 2010 (or is it 2015)? So that's ...

There're those foot long black rods you see along the side of SZR - people toss them out the window of the car they just bought because they get in the way when you want to put your foot on the dashboard.

Someone else said the duty-free shop is after the scanner. Every time I've arrived in Dubai, I've seen the x-ray machine after duty-free. Yeah, they have gotten rid of the compulsary customs scanners. The compulsary scan point is before the duty free shops. Oh yes, you're right. I remember now
