Re: Gilad Shalit Faces His Sixth Yom Kippur In Captivity

I keep repeating a fact that the majority of Israelis want the prisoner exchange.

You do realise that 63% is a majority, don't you?

Re: Anti-Semitism - Fanbois Perspective

The entire point is that FD misrepresented a quote from Karmi criticising Segregationism and presented it as evidence of anti-semitism. He left out the starting sentence of the paragraph he quoted WITHOUT reference. Inserting [Jewish] into the quote above doesn't change the fact that Karmi is talki...

Re: Attackers Carve 'Star Of David' On Back Of 'apostate'

So explain to me - which is worse and why? A beheading that was filmed and the Jewish terrorists murdering two sergeants in cold blood and then laying booby traps to kill those coming to collect them. I think both are horrific as both killed their captives- but the Jewish Irgun Terrorists are worse ...

Re: Gilad Shalit Faces His Sixth Yom Kippur In Captivity

:D So I'm the one who is stupid because I stated a fact that the majority of Israelis want the prisoner/hostage exchange. I think the penny dropped that 63% is indeed 'a majority'. Did you come to this conclusion by yourself, or did someone help you with the concept? Anyway - lack of comprehension a...

Christian and Muslim Graves desecrated in Israel

The desecration of graves continues - this time against Christian and Muslim graves in Jaffa in Israel (I checked the map... and I'll take the post 1948 war borders into consideration and put Jaffa in Israel) The cemeteries were desecrated on Friday, the eve of Yom Kippur, when headstones were smash...

Re: Gilad Shalit Faces His Sixth Yom Kippur In Captivity

I understand BM's denial of the fact that the majority of Israelis are in favour of Shalit being exchanged for prisoners/hostages held by Israel. That is relevant to this thread. DDS' comment about FD being a spokesman for the Israelis is a bit off topic - but FD's is way out there. I guess that the...

Re: Gilad Shalit Faces His Sixth Yom Kippur in Captivity

Who says the majority of Israelis want the exchange? Some dodgy website or you as the person with the mandate to speak for the Israelis? The quote was from Haaretz newspaper and referenced a poll of Israelis. 63% in favour of exchange, BM in denial. Still. I guess that there's not much more ...

Re: Attackers Carve 'Star Of David' On Back Of 'apostate'

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree.

Booby trapping bodies so that more are killed is more despicable than filming the deaths. Had irgun had video cameras back then, they too would have videoed the murders in cold blood. The photos of the hanging bodies are there on the web.

Re: Anti-Semitism - Fanbois Perspective

The world is in the grip of Segregationism, yes, and Karmi gives examples of this.

Inserting [Jewish] into the quote above doesn't change the fact that Karmi is talking about Segregationism, and I agree with him on this.

Re: Wall Street Protesters

Be fair eh (fat chance) - the crisis was not down to those taking out mortgages, but those private bankers who gave out the loans, collaterised them and sold them off to people who should have known better that the CDOs etc aren't really AAA+. Those that made money out of the whole affair are the mo...

Re: Anti-Semitism - Fanbois Perspective

You've put the horse before the cart, eh. FD misquoted Karmi by cutting out the sentence about Segregationism, and you're trying to have a second go by looking at another paragraph. But here too, the subject is segregationism - and he rightly points out that dividing humanity into two groups is segr...

Re: Gilad Shalit Faces His Sixth Yom Kippur In Captivity

'As usual'? You mean you're going to ignore the past prisoner/hostage exchanges and the fact that the majority of Israelis want it to happen?

But fair enough - let's spare a thought for all hostages, especially the women and children. Shame Israel is resisting their release.

Re: Anti-Semitism - Fanbois Perspective

Your wishful thinking and snippets won't disguise the fact that FD's misleading quote comes from an article about segregationism - and which focuses on Palestine. When you read the whole paragraph, and especially when you read the whole article, you see why FD didn't give a reference when he deceitf...

Re: Wall Street protesters

The problem wasn't giving out houses. The problem was giving out mortgages - those mortgages were given out by institutions voluntari...

Re: Gilad Shalit Faces His Sixth Yom Kippur In Captivity

Thankfully the majority of Israelis want Shalit released and want the exchange to take place. The women and children being held hostage are indeed in my mind - therein lies the difference between us. But thankfully, your views on this, again, are in a minority. And frankly dear... you know the rest....

Re: Palestinians Arrested for Causing the Death of a Baby.

Let me be green. This was my first post in this thread. There is no excuse for causing the deaths of civilians - and I am glad that those responsible for the deaths have been arrested. It is interesting to note that more Muslims polled agree with this than many other groups: http://www.dubaiforums.c...

Re: Anti-Semitism - Fanbois Perspective

You were also convinced that FD's misleading quote was evidence of anti-semitism. Karmi is stating that a doctrine that splits humanity in two is segregationist, in a par...
