Nice one Jag - you beat me to a new beemer!

Does the clear tint keep the heat out? The car I'm going for has an 80% tint at the moment which is the only thing that needs changing on it - if I buy it.. it's currently getting checked out at AGMC.

Mabruk again.

Cheers,
Shafique

My perspective is that once a point of view has been expressed, and clarified where necessary, there is little point in going over the same ground again. Whilst there is a need to vent frustrations - internet forums are not the best places for this. There has been a lot of heat in this thread recent...

I used to shoot in the UK and have only been to the JA shooting range once here. I was pathetic - I blame the guns myself :) The bummer is that you're not alowed to own a gun here, so I had to sell my shotgun before coming here. Anyway - if anyone wants to go skeet (or another discipline) shooting, ...

Aikido is a great martial art, but there are aggressive forms and less aggressive forms of the art as well. Steven Seagal is a Aikido expert and uses Aikido holds and throws in his movies (but please don't judge Aikido by the quality of SS's acting!) I did an introductory course in Aikido in the UK,...

Sure alexander - quote it freely. It's a common enough argument - called the 'the watchmaker argument' which states that just as a watch is complicated and couldn't have been made by chance..so there must be a watchmaker.. For balance, Richard Dawkins has written a book called 'The Blind Watchmaker'...

I hope all goes well with the birth. I can't help with the names of companies that can help, but when my daughter was born a few months ago, our company PRO handled the birth certificate bit for me - I paid the fees which came to around 400dhs. You get a birth notification from the hospital. I gave ...

"I fear another 9/11"

Food for thought: A terrible thought occurs to me - that there will be another 9/11 by Robert Fisk, independent.co.uk Sunday, Aug. 06, 2006 at 1:14 PM ...a rag-tag army of guerrillas is winning its spurs against an Israeli army and air force whose targets - if intended - prove them to be war crimina...

mraph - what led you to believe that Gorgeous George was on Saddam's payroll? I used to work with Iraqi Kurds in the early 90's and remember that GG was one of the few MPs that spoke out against Saddam's treatment of Iraqis - but at the time Saddam was the darling of the west. Rumsfeld met with Sadd...

Nostradamus - good idea. Israel should reall sort out the terrorists who are slaughtering hundreds of Lebanese children, but I fail to see how the Arab league can sort out the internal issue between the State of Israel and the terrorists doing the killing and terrorising two nations. :) Nostradamus 1. What were the boundaries of the state in 1312BC and what was the state called? Who inhabited the land before and after this? (And by the way, this is an ethnic issue, not a religous issue - Arabs) 2. What was the name of the territory in question on all the maps in 1940, say? 3. We...

Got a new moto'

Picking up my new car on Saturday... After what seems like an eternity waiting for an air-hostess to get her car valued and checked, I saw an ad for a 2006 530i on Tuesday, viewed it on Wednesday and signed all the paperwork today. Just need to get it registered on Saturday. 8 month old, 23k on the ...

The power of nightmares is a very good documentary series shown on the BBC last year. It looks back at the way fear has been misused by governments to control their people and get laws enacted. It focuses on the US on the one hand, looking at the tactics used during the cold war and refers heavily t...

Now they promise to protect us from nightmares. The most frightening of these...

I can't help feeling 'cry wolf?' given the track record of similar grandiose announcements of widespread consipiracies. After 9/11 there were a spate of high profile arrests in the UK (I almost said 'here in the UK' ! scary) - eg Ricin plot, at least 4 separate arrests of groups of British youth of ...

I doubt it will be much help - but it's worth noting that Islam prohibits the mis-treatment of animals and perhaps telling the abusers this when you come across these activities may feather their concious. A quick Google search for Hadith on animal cruelty threw up: The Prophet told his companions o...

Kanelli - glad we agree about seeing the evidence. I would be surprised if there was nothing to this plot - I believe there must be some fire to cause all this smoke - but I would not be surprised if the timing or level of warnings have been manipulated. Choco - I remember much the same arguement be...
