Killing Babies 'in name of God' - Extremists vs Normal

There are people who commit horrific crimes and then say that 'God told me to do it'. Some are psychologically unsound, some are using at as excuse and some believe it. When the crime in question is the slaughter of civilians, especially women and children, the reactions of others to this crime is u...

Re: What Is A Rebellious Wife?

This is a very wise verse from God and has been discussed a few times in other threads relating to whether Islam allows wife beating or not. eh participated in those threads and just needs to be reminded of what was discussed then. http://www.dubaiforums.com/philosophy-dubai/wife-beating-the-koran-s...

Re: KoraniK Kontradiction: Iblis - Angel Or Jinn?

All Muslims aren't confused on the subject - because God clearly states Iblis is a Jinn.

Sam's interpretations don't change this simple fact.

Re: Wife Beating: Ok If You're Not A Muslim?

Nucleus - you're right.

However, it is more than just bias - his point, and examples, are of stories that were total fabrications.

Fortunately I think this is less the case in mainstream media, but certainly fabricated stories are still to be found on blog sites etc.

Re: Killing Babies 'in Name Of God' - Extremists Vs Normal

Thanks for you views eh. I'm trying to find out a way to explain to you why I (and I assume most others) don't agree with you that men slaughtering babies and women in the name of God is the same as 'an act of God' such as a Tornado. Believing that I share your views just shows that you've not under...

Re: Killing Babies 'in Name Of God' - Extremists Vs Normal

You still play with crayons? Well, may I suggest you stay away from sharp items like knives. :D But seriously, your post was indeed quite useful and laid out that you do consider the slaughter of babies in the name of God as no different from a Tornado, and base this on a belief that God tol...

Perhaps. Or perhaps they'll see if they can take up the challenge to help explain to you the difference.

Re: What Is A Rebellious Wife?

Wife beating is not allowed in Islam. The three step process explained by God is logical to me. In practice (which is really what matters), I don't know of anyone that has applied these punishments - I also know of no one who would accept that wife beating/battery would be excused by this verse (out...

Re: Killing Babies 'in Name Of God' - Extremists Vs Normal

Ok, why don't you start a new thread and quote my words which lead you to think that I share your views. I'm waiting to see if anyone else can explain to you the difference to you here, between your stated view that men killing babies in the name of God is just like a tornado or other 'act of God'. ...

Re: What Is A Rebellious Wife?

FD - A Muslim woman in tight jeans and without head covering - indeed wearing s.exy clothing in general - is not rebellious at all. It just depends on the particular circumstances, cultural norms and family values of her environment. There's no restriction in the marital home, for example, and in so...

Re: What Is A Rebellious Wife?

You're going on one of your tangents again eh. In previous threads I explained to you how relationships with women work - and how you would be enlightened when you entered into one. There's a thing called communication - and it's hard to explain how that works within a marriage or relationship (it h...

You obviously have a lot to learn. I'm glad you're taking the time to get enlightened - but given that all this was explained to you before, you seem to have an issue with comprehension. May I ask you a simple question, eh? Do you know of any Muslim man that has invoked this punishment and gone thro...

Then he should stick to the day job as he doesn't do 'funny' or 'sarcasm' very well at all. Mark Steel's day job is indeed being a comedian - he's a stand up comedian and also writes articles (and Nucleus was quoting him when he informed you he was being sarcastic). Your fail is many fold, dear gra...

Re: Muslims Of France

Yes, eh - you are the only poster here who has justifed the actual killing of babies and women, and the enslavement of virgins. This makes you the most extreme religious fanatic posting here - because you justify these killings and enslavements as 'God told the Israelites to do it'. eh, I really am...

Re: What Is A Rebellious Wife?

eh - can you show us an example where a Muslim man follows the 3 steps of escalating punishment as laid out by God? All Muslims are allowed in Mecca - regardless of the se...

Re: What Is A Rebellious Wife?

Stop speculating eh - produce one clear case of Muslim man following God's instructions and we can discuss that. If you can produce a cleric/scholar/expert who confirms that the man followed God's instructions, then you'd have further confirmation. Relying on posts on blogger's websites will get you...

Reluctant Hero

Here's a nice positive story about a hero keeping a cool head in a in-flight situation in the USA. Action aboard airplane creates a reluctant hero A man foaming at the mouth lunged for the airliner’s cabin door, attempting to open it as flight attendants struggled to hold him at bay. Most of the pos...

Re: What Is A Rebellious Wife?

We can debate what colour eyes unicorns have also - but I'd like to discuss a real case if you can find one. If you can't then we're talking in hypotheticals and then we can speculate to our heart's content. I know of no actual case of a Muslim man following God's commandments of this verse, and whe...

A simple, 'No, I can't find one example of any Muslim man following all 3 stages as laid out in the Quran' would have sufficed.
