For people against the toll, I suggest you do some digging on Dubai government finances. Although Dubai is full of very wealthy people, with few taxes the government hsa a big problem in that it has 1.3m people to take care of (indeed, counting the commuters probably much more) but actually not that...

Much of marina is lying empty, if you're lucky and rent it it will pay a good income, if you don't you'll have overpaid and be caught out when the price of flats goes down as predicted.

When I say self sufficient I mean the whole lot of it, not just the staff. You might want to round your estimate up by a couple of zeros. As such has been the uproar over 4dhs I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more effective traffic control sytem to counter the gridlock, it's just poorly imple...

I looked seriously in to doing an MBA but in the end concluded it wasn't worth it. 95% of the world's MBA's are basic business courses and are simply cashing in on the MBA reputation made by Harvard and the likes. Despite what the info blurb that goes with them says, most will not add a single penny...

3 things got hurt in the attack on Glasgow: 1) Egos. The clowns both couldn't drive properly and couldn't work out that a big car wouldn't go a small hole. 2) The clown who set himself of fire, some say it was a suicide bid, others he didn't know what he was doing. Either way, no tears shed for him....

Because none of us were doctors nor know much about medicine and stuff. If we knew, we wouldn't have to go to the hospital/doctor, would we? ;) . Surely being prescribed antibiotics for minor ailments should ring alarm bells? The whole health industry incentives are skewed to make it too easy to &q...

Most of the Business schools in UK are money making machines. They run the MBA for one year instead of 3 years MBA . Thats strange. I dont have trust on UK's universities and the quality óf education in UK  MBAs can run for 1, 1.5 or 2 years, 3 years would be for half wits. LBS is the only top...

There are some talented and hardworking locals, problem is they have many hangers on in the rest of the family who milk one person's vision for all it's worth. 2nd generation wealth here is quite lazy, where in to 3rd generation they've just given up completely.

As above, you don't have many options for housing and schooling, you pretty much have to pay the going rate. Rent could maybe be pushed down a little (maybe only 20-30k though), try either places like Al Barsha, Mirdif or International City, failing that a 3 bed flat might be cheaper (Marina rents l...

Think it’s got to be Man U, they’ll be awesome up front. Can see them having a few 5, 6 or even 7 nil wins against some of the smaller teams at OT. Chelsea have a stronger squad than last season but, crucially, if they sell Robben then their starting 11 will be weaker and that will count against the...

If you're on a good wage your medical insurance will be pretty comprehensive, the good thing here is some plans accept existing conditions and pay for the treatment.

In general, drugs are cheaper here but can't comment on your specifics.

West Ham themselves are the only ones talking of compensation, the whole of the rest of the world knows they'll get pumped rotten if it goes to court. All they're doing is delaying so that the EPL season starts and they can't get relegated on appeal

I'm still confused why this guy bought himself a one-way ticket to India the day after the Glasgow attack when he had a very good life in Australia, but should be innocent and proven guilty.

EH has a decent reputation, my wife works in that line of work. It's painful to say it as it goes against my normal outlook on stereotypes, but if it's a European or American doctor then it should be fine, the horror stories I hear from surgeons of other nationalities is frightening, even basic infe...

Re: Most Recited Prayer - ever

Premiership on Showtime

Well, day one, a few teething problems like disappearing sound on some of the pundits (usually Derek Whyte) and a rather random format (they show the latest goals at half time but not full time)., but overall pretty decent. Rob McCaffey a good man to anchor the programme although his eagerness sees ...

Agree Emirates the best but their loyalty programme is pretty average when compared to others, unless you're a gold card holder it's pretty rubbish in fact.
