Last time I was out was December 2005 and I managed to get back 11 bottles. One had leaked in my case which made it reek of vodka and yet no-one in customs even though...

Is there no way that you can arrange (through the British Embassy) for a photocard licence to be issued? Whether this be you keeping a photocopy of the paper licence along with a letter from the British Embassy explaining why there is a photocopy whilst they send your licence off to the UK etc. etc....

Right, having read the whole topic, I (and guaranteed some others) am still confused. Most people in Dubai have maids/servants, correct? If they are female (which 99.9% of them are), is it illegal for them to live together? Because I know of lots of families who let their maids live with them. Also,...

Celebrity Boxing in Jumeirah Beach Hotel?

Was reading The Sun on Saturday and I noticed an article on a celebrity boxing tournament coming to Dubai next year.

It said that apparently Ally McCoist, a Rangers legend (yaaaas!) has been signed up for the event at the JBH.

Anyone got anymore information?

Cheers

We live in Al Barsha 3 and thats a good area of Dubai (in my opinion) to live in. It's located close to the Mall of the Emirates, and is only a 10-15 minute drive to Jumeirah. The only thing about it is that it is on the Bur Dubai side of the creek, so if you want to head to the Deira side it's gonn...
