Give those drivers a break. Most of them probably did not experience driving on a wet road before, or worse doesn't know the effect of rain water on asphalt.
Aww... I've never been to Wild Wadi. But I'll go there for sure one of these days. It'll be more fun if I can bring along my friends- the more the better! And yes, we'll take pictures everywhere! Cool.
It's ok. I was expecting something extraordinary with the interior designs,. but it looks so ordinary, like everything was rushed.
The aquarium is so-so.
No brit the author interviewed showed even a bit of sympathy for the labourers and maids. I do not understand why this article from the UK painted a very horrible image of its people.
Oppsss.... The Independent published a lengthy article by Johann Hari headlined “The Dark Side of Dubai.” One of the prominent Emiratis featured, Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi, hits back at the report. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/552114-looking-at-the-qbright-sideq-of-dubai I was expecting him to deny...
I feel that Independent article made many of you happy!?!?!?!!! it says the truth... yeah it highlights some of Dubai major issues.. like the labour camps etc... but that article is just picking on extremes... I admit I am one of them. There's too much injustice going on around here and nobody want...

Let's see if they publish and tackle awkward questions in an open manner. If they do then it's a positive step. If it's just a publicity puff then it's not. uaekid that's not being negative that's suspending judgement until we see the results, understood? stop getting defensive already. I for one w...
I think it may be due to the fact that AD is smaller so the interaction between different cultures becomes unavoidable. Does AD also have 'ethno-specific' communities? Like Dubai has Karama for Indians, Marina for Westerners, etc?
It's a personal issue borabora. She's supposed to be a white person but those damn arabs keep mistaking her for a filipina maid. I think the issue is consuming her really bad.
Not all of us are fond of 'singing', I myself am annoyed with that trait. If you happen to have a filipino neighbor, expect them to fill your weekend nights with their wailing and belting. I wish those videoke systems get banned here! lol. I am a happy person too, but I also do not feel the n...
It could be the answer to living in Mars. Think about it, you dont need to inhale/exhale anymore. the exchange of O2 and C02 is happening in your lungs.
Mr Sultan had an excellent chance to refute the article but he didnt. Instead he went on a rant meaning: "Yes we have many bad things in Dubai, and theres bad things in UK as well" So???? Just because London has ills doesnt mean Dubai should have the same. I am a Dubai wellwisher, I dont ...
lol. An exclusive label for japan- "japanese". How come they get to have their own label? How come America and Canada, or UK and the rest of europe do not complain being bundled with the same label with their 'favorite' neighbors? And the philippines... The author made it a poi...
^ Imho, the best way to respond is to prove those critics that they're wrong, or admit that they are right, or at least show that dubai is really doing something to correct those observed wrongs- straight up. THAT will stop them- and dubai can even earn those critics' respect. Playing with emotions ...
Is he really oblivious of the fact that those laborers came here on high hopes and false promises?
If these people knew what they are really getting themselves in to, they wouldn't come here, that's for sure. But it's not the UAE's problem right?
