We just have a shortage of interesting topics here in my opinion. So the best we can do now is contend with the mindless games or, start an intelligent and interesting topic instead of just complaining about the mindlessness

Do not buy the chunky hp pavilions (series dv4000 up). I have a dv5000.. The chasis is very flimsy- wherever you put pressure on it makes a sound. The ''altec lansing'' speaker gives me a shock from time to time, the CD ROM drive is very flimsy as well. I had a serious problem with the internal hard...

I think ''parking space rage'' is more appropriate. Seriously, the woman ''struck'' all three to the ground and managed to attack them with a wrench she grabbed from one of them?

Ok. I don't see anything scientific about the comparison of the shapes of a leech and a human embroyo. Sorry.

it's in Japan also. South of Tokyo, east of Fuji. It's got onsen (natural hot springs), mountain villages, cool fresh mountain air, cable cars, great view of mount fuji, etc... very laid back atmosphere.
As for kyoto, I plan to visit there next year actually

I'm really getting affected by the decrease in value of the USD/AED now. If this continued, I will consider going back to my country since by then the salaries there is almost the same with mine working here. But even if thousands did the same, i don't think it might cause labor shortage here as the...

I dunno. Some say you get them even from cooked birds. Maybe if not well done.

OT: why do they call it "Asian" bird flu when they don't call the most dreaded desease "Western" or "African" AIDS? hmmm......

Saudi men must be lacking in values such as respect and self-control (sexual restraint) so the government needed to "protect" their women from them in the way that has just been demonstrated. Instead of instilling good values and behaviour in men when they are around women, they try to sup...

My common senses still tell me that women in saudi are indeed suppressed. The fact that women are still being raped inspite of the strict laws means that it's not working. I still think it's the men that should be educated about respect and the police making sure that no REAL crimes are committed. I...

Since the topic's about Islam and science (thus technological innovations), I've HEARD before that Islam tells muslims to shun away from these materialistic technological advances. Am I entirely wrong?

I do not agree that the "separation between men and women is the correct solution", debian. If a man cannot be with an unrelated woman for a minute before deciding to rape her (or at leat that's how saudi's law think of what men would do- because of a woman's temptous nature, that's why th...
