Re: how to pay off bank loan against car

I just bought Rage Rover 2005 6 months back by taking a loan from the bank. Unfortunately, I have to leave dubai within few days forever. Can anyone suggest what i should do with the car? how to sell and pay off the bank. How much are you selling for? pm with the details, I might be interested.

So just to clarify-

1) Land registration - anyone know how much?
2) Service Charge - paid to developer for whole year upfront?
3) DEWA - 0.5% of purchase price of property by monthly?
4) A/C - anyone know how much?

Is there anything else?

another employment ban question - one freezone to anther?

Hi, I have searched the forum, but without luck or I'm just blind, so hopefully, someone can help me. I am currently employed in one freezone, and have been working for less than 1 year. However, if I were to leave, and move to another freezone what are the procedures? Will I get a ban? Do I need a ...

Maybe it will go up, maybe it will come crashing down. All I know is that back in Dec2005 people were telling me not to buy (which may have included Arnie - I can't remember so if this is incorrect, please accept my apologises). Had I listened I wouldn't be have gained approx 50% plus unreliased P&a...

Whoever didn't make money in the UK market over the last 10-15years must be a idiot.

Wait a minute, that makes me an idiot. I must have been the only person to loose, so don't listen to me.

Tenants are free to choose how much they want to pay, and landlords are free to choose how much they want to charge, therefore, Adam Smith's invisible hand suggest an equilibrium will be achieved. If you can't pay, then pack your bags and leave. Go back to London (if that is where you're from) and p...

Choc if u had a marina 1 bed appartment to rent in a tower where people were paying 120.000 a year, how much would u charge? I would charge 150k a year, then realise no tenant would be prepared to pay. Since greed is my only motivation I would be forced to reduce to 120k. Then I would post on a foru...

Alex - No thanks, I'm not in need of a shed. But, charge as much as you can, and good luck with it. Plenty of tenants moaning now, but none will have sympathy when, and if, the equity values collapse for landlords. Choco - please rent me your place when it is ready, but for lower than market price, ...

If Alex wants 1, or 2, or a massive 10ft*5ft cheque then that is what he wants. If no tenant is prepared to give him what he wants, then he will have to reduce his demands. He needs a years rent upfront because- 1) doesn't have to deal with the hassle of 12 installments. 2) can now use that capital ...

Alex, and when that time comes, I hope someone here (maybe Choc) will stand up for the greedy and unreasonable tenants.

Good luck for now, and get as much as you can, because no tenant is going to give a damm if you can't keep up with payments as long as he/she has cheap rent.

Geez by offering 6 monthly you sound like you're doing people a favour - not likely! News flash Alex, paying monthly is the norm in any other city, anywhere else in the world. And why would you be paying less, to spread it over a year? If anything it's more convenient for both sides. Scarlet give i...

Alex would like X, and if he is unable to obtain it, market forces will force him to reduce his demands to Y. What is so difficult to understand about that? How can he possibly be a plonker for attempting to gain the best he can? If he can not, he will reduce his demands. As for what it is worth tod...

Congratulations Alex!! Don't let anyone tell you what the market is. Market forces will do that for you, and as it stands, it appears to be 2 cheques, and what ever your price was. Fair, reasonable. Business certainly shouldn't give a damm, unless you're a charity case, which you clearly are not.

Depending on his position the salary offered may, or may not be market value. However, GBP78k a year (tax-free) by UK standards it not bad. How many people in London earn that? Arnie, congratulations to your daughter, but I find it hard to believe the starting salary for government workers in the UK...

GBP24k!! I should have been a social care worker instead when I graduated.

Guess I'm fortunate (or not fortunate) for being single, medical included in my package, and never really worried about a pension (even though I should).

In business why care about reasonable. Get as much as you, even if someone else thinks it is fkng ridiculous prices. It's only unreasonable if you can't obtain it, but clearly as spoonman has stated there is some fool that will.

Well said davek.

The majority of expats here don't earn anything like that figure.

I still find it amazing a new government worker is earning that much. With the current financial problems in the square mile of London, entry or even mid level bankers are having problems.
