Guess I'll have to wait until I get to Dubai then. In the mean time, anyone have an a rough idea on how much a Boxster, Merc SLK, or Range Rover cost, new and few years old? Are cars alot cheaper than the UK, by maybe 30%?

£400 a day, works out to be around £8000 a month. That is very high for someone who has just finished uni 2 years ago. Well done!!

Yes, I had an interview with the CEO, COO and Operations manager for a role at the DME in Jan/Feb. Unfortunately, I was too qualified for the position.

I am just waiting for a list of the new members for the DME. But, will go in Sept. If you want I can keep you posted.

The DME is a new electronic platform, but with hubs in a main office area based in the DIFC. The opening date was supposed to be in the 4th quarter of 2006, but still no news.

I'm planning on moving out to Dubai, and hopefully getting something in this field.

Thanks for the info guys. At least i have options. As for wiring the money, its a rip off to be honest- it may be safer but the charges and poor conversion rate once my UK bank gets the money is ridiculous. I think im better off with the cash in hand - uk customs have no issues with money coming in...

I installed the poker sites interface prior to entering the UAE, and have just logged on, and played. No problems with Ladbrokes, InterCasino, and Club On The Park.
