Would I be correct in thinking that all available commercial properties in the media / internet city projects have been sold ?
I am trying to locate 500-1000 sq ft to either rent or buy and I can not see anything available.
Any input would be most welcome.

I think you are both giving good advice. Its probably best to initially rent and yes I am aware that we need a hefty deposit. I have located a couple in the Springs area at around 20k GBP a year so I will probably go for that option. I may stretch a little and try Arabian Heights - what do you think...

I have been trying to deal with better Homes for more than 2 weeks now. I have tried by email and their real time chat facility.
They have given me acknowledgements that they have received my enquiry but nothing after that happens.

We are in Dubai in 2 weeks to work out where to rent a villa.
As we are strangers to the area and also because of the many bad reports about driving safety I was thinking of hiring a driver and car for a couple of half days.

Jumeirah / Jumeira ?

Does anyone know what the difference is between these two area spellings please, if in fact they are the same area but just a different spelling ?

From what I can make out, there are 3 main areas to stay - Jumeirah, Creek and Downtown.
Would I be correct in generally thinking that Jumeirah is the most suitable place for a good old beach vacation and the other 2 areas are business areas ?
