To give you an example of how cheap.. Buying a Dell Inspiron 6400 in Dubai is about AED 5200 - AED 5700

In Muscat its AED 4300 - AED 4500

You could totally live on that with ease. Accommodation depends on what you want, like shared or you wanna be by yerself. If you wanna be by yerself, look at spending anywhere from AED 4000 - AED 6000, depending on area. Salary is good. Just be prepared for HELL TRAFFIC everywhere and STUPID drivers.
