I am thinking of going on holiday to Dubai with my girlfriend. I have been told that you cannot hold hands or touch each other in public. Is this true? What you can touch each other in public? I want to stay in the Madinat but would probably hate their overpriced restuarants.

Are there any fast food outlets in the souk or nearby on the road? Or any alternative eateries near there? What are you opinions of the Madinat as far as a romantic holidays go?

I agree that it is a personal choice. BUT I am afraid Islam does not allow womanising and alchol and for very good reasons. Womanising and all that promotes the woman 'trade' which demeans women. Alcohol intoxicate your brain and you end up doing nasty things like cause accidents, mistreat people or...

Yes but it is still a bit out of way to go for a snack. I was hoping there would be something just outside or in the Madinat souk.
