How do they determine whether you can apply for credit (ie credit card or personal/car) loan in Dubai? When i came to the UK, it took me over a year to build up any credit rating. Wondering how this will work in terms of getting car loan etc once I have my residency....

Do they use a similair credit scoring system like in the UK? moving to dubai next month....in the UK it took me over a year to build up any credit scoring! how else do you get a car/personal loan etc..

I am a similair situation - I have just taken out a loan for rent and will be changing employers so would need to leave the UAE for a day in order to come back for the visa change......do you think the bank will be reasonable and allow me to do this!!!!!!!!!
