Trip Advisor has an automated system of putting a note in a thread when it is 6 months old, warning people that essentially it has expired and people need to start a new thread. Wish we had that here, but don't know if it is possible.

I wish I could import my friends out of Dubai for a visit, because I have no interest in returning except to see friends. There is nothing else I miss about Dubai or want to see there. Having a $250 visa to enter just makes the decision of whether to visit or not a lot easier.

Personally, I don't think it is BS, but plenty of countries, including Western and non-Islamic ones don't follow the UN declaration of human rights.

Well, benefits in Dubai for me were that I got paid more than my more experienced coworkers (though I did have a higher degree). I got better service in some stores, however, I was often quoted inflated prices that those of other profiles did not get quoted.

Are you living in the Springs by chance? We had a problem with ours and it was running constantly because water was leaking under our driveway. You might want to get it all checked out to see if you have a leak somewhere and water is being constantly pumped.
