And p.s. Red Chief, how can you say that Ihab El Labban would have no rights to custody of his kids if they were having a legal battle in the UK? How do you know that? There are plenty of mixed nationality couples residing in the the UK having custody battles, but luckily there is a law that is mean...

Speaking as a person married to someone from another nationality and living in a 3rd country, if the marriage was to break down it would be very awkward to do the proceedings here. What happens if one person's work status changes making it difficult for them to remain in the country? What do you do ...

High powered air rifles freely available. I'm going to be shot down here, butI think cat owners are morons. A cat is not a pet, it just comes to you for food and warmth, it would never protect you if you were attacked like your faithful dog would. In fact if your neighbour makes a hard effort to tr...

Chocs, I'm so glad you helped the dog! You did the right thing. So many people see terrible things happening to animals, people, property etc. and they don't want to stand up and say or do anything.

Red Chief is a complete troll and should be ignored. Every post resorts to insults to people and somehow drags in his hate for anything British. I don't take anything he has to say seriously, and I am tired of him throwing so many threads off track.

Rather dirty stuff, isn't it Kanelli. I know you love it. Kanelli, stop repeating your mantra about trolls if there isn't enough room in your small brain for something real but bitter. More personal attacks. Seriously, what is wrong with any of my posts in this thread? Why on earth do you think you...

Red Chief, again, what is so controversial about my opinion that both parents are entitled to see their children and parents should ensure that that happens, not engaging in international custody battles? I'm really starting to think all those bottles of vodka have caused serious damage to your brai...

You are a troll because you come here to personally harass and insult forum posters across various threads. Your conduct speaks for...

So, anyone have opinions, in light of the UAE custody laws, on whether it is right or wrong for a father or mother to leave the UAE with their child/children when a marriage breaks down (and both parents are from another or other countries)?

Well, I don't know if they will feel much pressure to change the laws to suit any expats divorcing and seeking custody here. In my view, one parent or the other fleeing the UAE with the kids may not be to punish the other parent, but to force the proceedings to be done in the home country, not a for...

If you hold dual citizenship then say you are Indian/English. Alternatively, say English, but was born in India if you feel more English than Indian - which is likely if you lived the rest of your life in England as opposed to India.

I think the default should be the country you have spent most of your life in and have a matching passport for. That alone should make a person comfortably say they are from that country, not the racial background etc. or what country is on their birth certificate.

Cats and dogs are awesome pets, and people should be responsible for them for their lifetime. That includes taking them with them when they move away, and being careful about who they leave to care for their pets when they are away on holiday etc. Just like children, pets need to be protected from a...

Yep, that husband is a total loser to turn his wife in. I have no idea why some women are risking getting caught after the whole Marnie Pierce incident. They shouldn't be having affairs anyway, but to fly the guy here and commit the adultery on UAE soil was pretty foolish.

Yes, the father sounds like a complete loser to leave his family like that! Apparently the authorities waived the overstay fines and arranged tickets to send the mother and children back to Egypt. There is a thread on this on the ExpatWoman website. I really hope this thread isn't going to turn into...

Much of this applies to all animal meats, and mass farming is the main culprit for spreading disease and introducing more chemicals and hormones into the human diet. Definitely people should just wait until they are divorced before starting something with someone new. I love the law in California - sounds fair to me! If you look at what happens to many women after divorce - many have full custody of the kids and they live at the poverty level because they are re...

I don't think anyone deserves to be jailed for adultery, since it is private business between them and their spouse. Also, I don't know all the details about this couple, like if they were already separated etc. Still, after the Marnie Pearce incident, people should be waking up to the fact that a m...

Where I live right now I can be arrested for walking naked in my own house if someone happens to catch a glimpse through the window and reports me. And oral s.e.x is illegal unless it leads to "normal" s.e.x. I'm wondering how they enforce that one!

Do you mean a costume or beautiful dresses for them to wear to their party? I think Monsoon (MOE) had really beautiful little girl dresses before. I don't know if they still stock them. They are a bit pricey, but beautiful! Some are silk etc.

Others cultures value seeing who is in their presence and using non-verbal queues from facial expressions a...
