I know a woman who is going back to the UK to give birth because their marriage certificate also shows that they were married after the baby was conceived. They just want to be sure that they won't face prosecution so have chosen to do it that way.

It is very true. If only people would pay attention to that. I've seen many cases of people reaping what they sowed, and it hasn't been pleasant...

If I remember correctly, there was a post where Maaad had said he was gonna run the marathon, and Kanelli said her significant other was planning to do the same. You may want to check with them. Be wary, MaaaD may want you to sing to him! Yes, I think both MaaaD and my hubby are aiming to run...

If you eat lower calorie food you are not going to put on as many kilos so then there will be fewer kilos to worry about taking off. So, a diet with water, juice, herbal tea, and fruit and veggies, whole grains, etc. is going to help aid weight loss compared to a diet of sugary soda, refined foods, ...

We had a rental car for two months at the start while we checked out the kind of car we wanted to buy. Cars are cheap here, and there is a large second hand market. You need to be careful that the used cars have not been in an accident though. In the end we decided on a new car and took a loan for t...

Unfortunately, the question seems to be how many Lebanese civilian lives are worth the destruction of Hezbollah? That is how the US is thinking. They want Hezbollah gone and don't seem to care what needs to be done to achieve that. :( Civials are likely considered "collateral damage".

I don't think that any bar should ban someone from drinking unless they are too drunk. People have different ways of following Islam and maybe they don't consider drinking alcohol a huge offense. They should have the choice whether to drink or not, especially if alcohol is available to everyone else.

Yes, and it goes to show that the USA has their head up their asses again. They want to reshape the politics in the Middle East, wiping out groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, etc. but it isn't going to work. If they try to make something like that work, we will have more extremists, new groups, and possi...

That's a good idea, I should be doing more weights. I have been going slow with those because I have a back problem. (I'm a tall girl :)) Swimming manages to keep me motivated though.

If the US is supplying Israel with weapons that it uses to attack innocent civilians in Lebanon, it can't really complain about Iran or anyone else supplying Hezbollah. That would be hypocritical.

It is very problematic when there is no national army involvement because then rules of engagement for war are not the same. It is much easier for civilians to be targeted in cases where small, separate, unofficial groups start attacking another country. This is the case with Hezbollah and other gro...

Sorry to hear about the break-up Chocs. It hurts at first, but I agree with MaaaD - you'll be stronger for it. Eventually you'll be able to move on and find someone who make you happier.

yshimy you are not huge! Don't be silly. Everyone seems to put on a little weight here with long work hours at the computer desk etc. If you make time for some sports and the gym you'll be able to lose any excess weight that you want to. I don't mean to complain that I am getting bigger, but I prefe...

That's good for me, because then you are lighter to carry!

Seriously though, some people do manage to lose weight here because of climate, work stress etc. I've just heard so many complain about weight gain because of a more sedentary lifestyle.

I have to say that it is good to have prostitution in Dubai - otherwise more women and children would be victimised with s.e.x crimes in the absence of available s.e.x services.

It can be very difficult to get work in Dubai if you have just graduated and don't have a lot of work experience. On top of this, Dubai is a very racist place, so that doesn't help either. Keep trying though, and apply to the international companies where you might have a better chance.

Most definitely people need to find time to exercise, but I am sure it is an adjustment for someone who moves to Dubai and ends their work days at 8 or 9 pm. I don't blame people for feeling tired! They can find a way to adjust, like exercising earlier in the morning if they are too tired after work.

Well MaaaD, there are unmarried men, or married men who have not seen their wives in a long time. They get desperate. Some of them aren't satisfied with self-pleasure or think that is bad too, so they lose it and take what they want from a woman. If there are prostitutes, at least these desperate me...

You have had 4 people in this thread telling you that we don't know the context that the picture was taken in. You can get as upset as you like, but don't accuse us o...
