I have learned a lot reading this. So from what I have gathered the Quran does not support the killing of gays, hand removal of criminals and other violent acts. But Islams 5 main religious Madh'hab's largely do interpret the Quran this way. And they are the one's teaching children and upholding the...

Shafique, I think it is no more then your own assumption to state that Gay people just need to stop acting on urges and that is all there is to it. Hom.o.se.xuals are typically repulsed by the idea of sleeping with the opposite gender in the same way that a hetr.o.se.xual is repulsed by sleeping wit...

s-video lead

Anyone know where i can get an s-video lead (laptop 4pin) to TV. I.e an s-video connection on both ends of the lead.

Prefer close to our metha (to avoid traffic) but further a field may have to do for now.

xibit - I don't think paranoid needs physiotherapy (physiotherapy is for people recovering from physical injury).

Paranoid - follow your own heart. God is big enough to get along without man's religions.

It was not burger king - it was Macdonald's. But it was still daft.

But to his defense he did say it as one of his 'passing comments' (he has a record of these).

Just some background information: S-video is video only, audio you will have to take seperate from audio out. If you have a cable from S-video to 3x RCA than you need a tv with 3x video inputs (called component video). Component video on a TV is not very common, but scart input is found on most TV'...

I will not put myself as an expert on Buddhism, but what I was saying was that the original teachings of Buddha was monotheistic, and that this later was modified over time. I draw parallels between Sufi teachings (very philosophical) in relation to 'orthodox' Islam, and the current Buddhist belief...

Philosophically, this is the price for God giving us choice and having a challenging environment in which humankind can evolve. Take away choice and pain, and we might as well be single cell amoebas living contently in a warm bath of nutrients - no one is being harmed, everyone is 'happy' (well, th...
