In your own name, yes.
If your apartment is in your companies name, they can apply for everything on your behalf if they're willing to.

Else, DSL, phone line, license, car...pretty much anything...requires you to have a residence visa.

Hi, I need to install JRE (Java runtime environment or something) on to my PC at work but I can't since i don't have the privileges. I remember reading a longggg time ago, something (Jeevan, I think) said he has a way around this. Can anyone help out? Whether its JRE, or any software. Thanks. :)

try to direct the software to install in a different location than Program Files, preferably somewhere you have permissions to like your my documents or something that might do the trick. yeah i do that for some software which lets you choose the path. BUT something like JRE...which needs to instal...

Just came across this. Its a program that's made for countries that block VoIP applications.

Surprisingly the site isn't blocked yet, so you can download the program and subscribe to the service. Then you hope etisalat doesn't block that access too!
