Did you try the likes of Dubai Holdings (and the zillion spin off companies), Emaar, Dubai World, Du , Etisalat , etc ... ? I looked at all the places that you mentioned, I haven't heard back from any of them, yet. May be they are taking their time, but also, like many people here said, may be they...

You guys are right about the parts, it could be very expensive and rare, however, the yearly maintenances should be ok…that’s the different between well cared and high mileage or neglected one (it can be like a snake nest!!! Bite you over and over). My recommendation is buying a very good condition...

Also bare in mind the price of a second hand car drops as soon as rental companies starts fleeting that model. That holds very true in USA, but I'd say it isn't much of a problem here. For example, the bigger rental agencies are fans of the Peugeot 206, but either way it'd have a low resale value s...

Actually, now that I think about it, Dhs 3000 for a water pump and tune-up/fluid changes is not really cheap  . Cheaper than rip-off dealer though.

How could they give something for free if they don't have it?

Say they don't have iPods. So you go buy an iPod at Carrefour, and take it to this place, and say "Lookee, I have an iPod!" Salesman will say, "good for you, now buy something or buzz off!"

I wonder if we can rent the service of those pickups/trucks (normally driven by Pakistani) near bus terminals or any other specific places for moving households. That could be a lot cheaper if you don't have much things to shift and you are Ok to pack yourself. Because sometimes I find interesting ...

Went to their new shop in City Center. I was amazed, probably one of the biggest electronic shops in Dubai. But then I looked at some prices (e.g. external hard disks), they are more expensive. I found some generic batteries for my video cam & portable media player though. I've been looking for...
