Weirdly enough, I read (on their website I think) that the grace is 45 days. On top of that, we bought a car with 6 months expired tags, but they didn't charge anything. Every rule is a bendable here.

I went this wednesday and everything went great. The busstation or wtv to call it is behind the Dnata building close to Deira clock tower.
