Hehe, newbies. I used to play with 5 fils and 10 fils coins as a kid. I also remember the gradual changeover from large Dh1 to small Dh1. Confusion at vending machines.

I have patched a radiator hose and got cars out of skids. It's not rocket science, especially the first one (which is really meant for emergencies in the middle of nowhere). Actually, my Merc is still running on two patched hoses, and none of my current three cars have stability/traction control.

Well, be prepared for the cold. I for one can't stand it. The cold in Atlanta, Georgia USA almost killed me from shivering even with thick jackets on. And it doesn't even snow there (except once in 30 years). And Atlanta is supposed to be closer to the equator, hence hotter.

There is a Dubai-Abu Dhabi bus. It costs Dhs 30 per one-way trip. My buddy uses it but I never asked any other details.

If it's cheap enough, there might be people who use it. A large number of people will be going to Makkah this December by bus because the entire package costs 30%-40% less. The bus service to Oman is cheap at Dhs 90 return already.

Are you sure? It became big news in Gulf News a few years ago, when local men were being forced to NOT marry foreign women. Don't remember if a law was enacted though.
