Yea, I've seen those glass ones. They look really cool and usually fetch a premium. I really think Dubai should have an adult toy store. I mean... really... what Islamic law does it break? Is it haram to enjoy sex?

edit: Wow. "s.ex" is replaced by love? That's funny.

I'm glad that at least one person brought up the subject of male virginity. It's very closed-minded to only require virginity from women whereas men are free to roam. Not that I'm a proponent of keeping it in your pants... Anyway, there's always the single-player version (double-clicking your mouse,...

Is this length including the handle or just the "applied" bit? 8-10" may be average... for pornstars. I don't think a smaller woman would enjoy something that large.

That being said, I was just doing a bit of research and it seems women prefer vibrators to dildos. Is this true?

Sites returning blank pages on Etisalat?

Has anyone else experienced this? The sites in question aren't blocked because I don't get the all-too-familiar message such as when trying to visit Flickr. Instead, all I get is a blank page. Checking the source returns nothing but an empty set of <html> tags. You can check it for yourself at: http...

Besides the problems with the procedures to obtain this ID, how come there has been very little debate about the privacy issues involved? Predictably, none of the UAE newspapers have brought it up but I would have thought that the general population would at least wonder if all that data about them ...

Yea, the social security card/number in the US is another example of bad procedures. Its original intent was for social security purposes, meant for tracking taxation, etc. Now it also doubles as identification at some places, which is silly considering how many organizations will end up having your...

I just tested and I don't think it's DNS because it resolves the address just fine but I'm not sure. Isn't DNS only responsible for resolving hostname to IP address? Anyway, one.com works fine now but gamefaqs.com still doesn't. I get a 503 error now though instead of a blank page. Gizmodo works. Ja...

In the current system with requiring a passport copy or some other photographic identity, it is possible to find out information about a person. What this new ID card does is make the current situation even worse. Now they'll have access to all of that data in one place. They'll also have even more ...

Let me preface this by stating that I'm not a (illegal) drug user. I know I'm in the minority but I'm against criminalizing recreational drugs, including hard drugs. Why? Because prohibition doesn't work, has never worked, and will never work. All that's been achieved by criminalizing drug use and t...

You certainly can compare tobacco and alcohol with drugs. All three are bad for you and all three are readily available (yes, even in Dubai). Of these, which one was responsible for about 10% of the deaths worldwide in 2004[1]? It's tobacco, actually. The mortality rate among drug users may be highe...

And another point besides the health issues is that criminalizing the use and trade of drugs has not helped in any way. Prohibition has never worked when the product being prohibited is so easily produced and smuggled. All that's happened is that criminal organizations have popped up to supply the d...

You assume that legalizing drug use will greatly increase the number of drug users. That's a false assumption since the...

Yea, drugs are bad. And yes, I wouldn't be surprised if drug-related deaths increase- at least in the short term. I have no idea if a proper long term solution to the drug problem will appear. Judging by how many people smoke despite a mountain of evidence showing that smoking causes cancer, I don't...

It's very unfortunate that people are so willing to give up their civil liberties. I really don't know how to explain it to people though. Their fear makes them irrational and they accept or even encourage the erosion of our rights. Let's take something real simple here: bringing liquids aboard a pl...

It's strange... I was disappointed that the UAE prohibited Shahar Peer from entering the country because I dislike whenever politics enters sports but I was even more disappointed when they allowed Andy Ram to play. That just shows a lack of moral fiber. Either they should have let both of them play...

A large majority of Israel's citizens are drafted into the military. "Conscription extends at present to all able-bodied persons, as they reach the age of 18 - three years for males and two for females." http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Facts%20About%20Israel/State/The%20Israel%20Defense%20Forces

Well, China also has a free market economy for the most part. Only certain industries are centralized. One of the biggest reasons that they haven't (yet?) been hit so hard is because their banks are mostly state owned. The loose-as-a-Deira-whore banks in the US, Europe, and almost everywhere else in...

Robby, I agree with most of your point except where you mention that the US doesn't have a large manufacturing industry anymore. They are still one of the world's largest. In many industries, they *are* the largest. That's one of the sad points of the bailout, actually. So much money was given away ...
