they do have American bars here - not sure why'd you'd want to go though? there is Tgi fridays, though thursday is the new friday here. There is chili's. There is a bar called longs which is kind of like a cheers bar. There is funily enough also a bar called TGI Thursdays, (TGIT), lots of Americans...

I didn't think you were allowed back into the UAE if you went to Israel. You ask them to stamp a seperate piece of paper not in your passport, at least this is what I did and I know many others. Also many of of us that travel semi-frequently have e-cards you never go through passport control anyway...

to add to the list of no booze, shisha, women after ten it is also illegal to use a pedal bike apparently as well.

I think Sharjah is a good place for families but my opinion is that for a single guy it might be a bit boring.

You can go through Sharjah but probably the easiest thing to do is get on Emirates Road heading towards Sharjah and follow the signs, very straight forward you won't have a problem.

Calling all you techies….. My friendly new dictators gray out the ability to check use MS word as your email editor in Outlook. I’m guessing this is because of a group policy and I have to go into the Registry and delete something to remove the block and get it to work correctly. I’ve tried googling...
