Very sad indeed, nobody should be forced into religion, religion comes from your heart. I'm ignorant of this Sharia law but is that true? if you choose to change religions that should be punished by death? I have difficulty believe that.

My vote for you would be SZR, you could walk to work and all buildings have the facilities you are looking for, also there is quite a good mix of expats around. You should be able to find a 1br for 80ish.

The limit for tint is 30% for expats. my understanding is this:

on Emirates road (311) it starts flashing at 140, on SZR (11) before the 3rd interchange 120, after 140 and AD boarder 160. A good portion of the radars don't work though in the city.

To echo what everyone else said there is a wee bit of conflict between arab countries and Israel (understatement) but you can actually come into the UAE with an Israel stamp in your passport, this was changed a while back to facilitate trade with the US.

Good luck in your search, deposits can be 5-10% of rent, realtor fees if applicable are 5% and rent is usually payable in advance and by year.

There is a lot of information on here with more specifics; you just need to use the search function.
