if feasible i'd recommend getting your license in the UK before coming here, if you have a valid UK license it is pretty easy to get a UAE, only need an eye test if i'm not mistaken.

. Men in Islam aren't allowed to wear silk and gold - seen as luxuries in the past. Wasalaam, Shafique Hi Shafique, or anyone else, I always knew about the gold and silk but I was wondering if you could comment further, I've seen a lot of wedding rings on local/Arab/Muslim men, most not being gold ...

Thanks Shaf that helps me understand things better. For the tattooing, i think it is more to do with the permanent alteration of your body then what is actually on the tattoo. I’m guessing for the same reason boob and nose jobs are out, although they are probably the biggest business in Lebanon, heh...

I suspect they are waiting for the property market to start dropping, when this happens they’ll pass the law and help reinforce property values. I’m guessing early 2009., kinda using the law as an ace in the hole.

Just my 2 fils, I could be very off.

50 people viewed this, 9 people voted and not one person wrote a comment, hmmm I’d have to vote No simply for that fact.

I do enjoy this forum, I've even made a few good friends from here but anything is an absolute and No I don't think you can here.

Good point DBXsoul. I will check that out. BTW the company has stated they will also cover insurance, maintenance and petrol on top of the car allowance. Is this usual? You guys are missing the obvious, since you are relatively close and your company has drivers, who probably would be happy to earn lets say AED 200/month to take you back and forth,

You may wish to just ask them,
Good luck
