hahaha, it's funny you mention this, I couldn't find it in a gas station either, I did find some in Geant and was told that Carrefore has it as well. they only sell the concentrate kind, i.e. it won't be in the 4 litre container but rather a 1 litre and you add water. http://www.dubaiforums.com/view...

okay I'm a bit confused vmware is a utility so you can allocate a portion of your windows machine to run linux, I have it on one of my laptops and have sparingly used it with no issues. But if you're planning to buy a machine why would you just not build it as a unix machine wouldn't that make more ...

ah ok, it looks like you are using vm for a different purpose then I. VMware, is used to create a virtual machine, I run Linux on my 'virtual machine partition' but you're right in that you could create a bunch of virtual machines and then network them. I know nothing about networks so can't offer a...

One man's bacteria is another man's protein. Smoke while eating, if you have a couple of shisha's going the whole time you smoke the flies usually stay at bay just exhale towards the food, if you're not a smoker coffee grinds on burning tea lights do the trick as well. I wrote up about flies last ye...

there are a few post offices around the city, you need to rent yourself a PO Box, I think 150/year, the one I use is Jumeriah Post Office on Al Wasl road. I think many people have their mail sent to their company PO Box, you may wish to speak to your coworkers to see if that is a viable option for y...

I use a media centre, similar to this you can get wireless ones and add files from any pc in the house and hook it directly up to your TV or projector, great inventions.

We use electric, but we live in old Dubai. It is commonly accepted that gas is cheaper than electric. I don't think it is that much more, because our electric bills top out at Dhs 700 in the summer for a family of four in a two-bed flat. is it just the electric portion or your dewa total? is AC inc...

From what I've been told generally in a furnished house pets aren't allowed, also worth noting on the news a couple days ago 16 breeds of dogs were newly banned in Dubai, not sure the breeds but there are some dog experts here who I'm sure can add details.
