Actually it is more of a hill than a mountain but yes Jebal Ali translates to the mountain of Ali and is the name of the hill on the left hand side as you drive to Jebal Ali, at least that is what I was told.

Just to make sure are you planning to use it connect your laptop to the internet i.e. use the BB as a modem or are you actually using the BB as a device itself for email and web? the one good thing about the BB service is it is unlimited for 3g you would pay a subscription for every X amount of bandwidth or pay the normal 1fil per kb, a good thing to do is really decide how much you'll use the phone. I'm sure others will offer their opinions.
