I am also interested in this subject. I am a counsellor and trainer, and I would like to know if there are any institutions offering counselling training so i can look for work. I would appreciate any recommendatios.

Thanks Jade. As I have not moved to Dubai yet I don't really know who to contact. And my internet search has not come to much. I e-mailed two universities but got no reply so far. If there is any counsellor here i would love to get in touch.

Work permit and setting up a private practice
I am moving in Dubai in the summer where my husband has found employment. I am a counsellor and would like to set up a private practise from home. 1) I assume i need a work permit. how easy or difficult is it to obtain one? where do i apply? 2) Are there any law implications with setting up a privat...

Thank you everyone. That was helpful. I will also go one of these days in the UAE embassy where i live to see if i can get some info and will keep you posted, in case someone else is interested in something similar.
