freight is calculated on a weight/ volume calculation - they take both figures and charge according to the higher of the two. if they are high value items i'd suggest that you rather curior them. another alternative it so send them aircargo, through emirates sky cargo - just ensure they are well pac...

also that "monthly bonus" with an average value attached sounds a little suspect, ask them for specific measuables, when it will be paid to you, and it MUST be included in the legal contract. i agree with scarlet, to little, if you read through the forum you will see that amount barely cov...

both, bear in mind that a full 80% of the people in the UAE (and Dubai) are expats! to GENERALIZE, most of the work is done by expats, there are also a fair number of well educated "locals" (UAE nationals) in the 20 - 35 year age range. the labour policy in the UAE is that an expat is only...

Personally I feel it’s an odd rule, they already have a country-wise labour quota system in place that regulates the number of employees that you are able to recruit from a particular country; they also regularly change the demographics of this quota system, favouring labour from one country over an...

Maaad, I actually think that you are on to some thing there. It would not only be a source of revenue for both of those countries but, the developed skill-sets would still remain in the region once the labour had finally been re-patriated, contributing to the growth of the country and then region in...

hahahaha.

bear in mind of course you will be a migrant worker (Muslim or not), you can never get permanent residency status in the UAE, unless you marry into the area!

well, you should never have paid the full rent in advance with one cheque! 3 or 4 post dated cheques would have been safer. the law is that you can break the agreement early, but you will probably loose the rental that you would pay duirng the notice period (2 months in your case). i think your diff...

Ah, sorry I miss-read your posting!

3 or 4 post dated cheques are normally required, if the landlord demands the full rental upfront, look for another place as you can only expect problems!
