Good one bonk, the other issue may be the attestation of your qualifications, which will have to be done through a UAE consulate in the country where the qualifications were obtained. If there is no UAE consulate in the country where you are you can have attestations done at most GCC country consuls...

The term of the contract will be calculated to the date that the labour card is transferred; if you can stretch it beyond the 1 year of employment mark and get the NOC sorted out then you have a good chance of avoiding the ban! Do not let them cancel it, it can only be transfe...

Hi there, depending on which side of the fence you stand it is either a black and white issue or a very grey issue. The law of the land is clear, no "co-habitation" outside of marriage. This is strictly enforced among the local Muslim population; although the penalties are harsh for both M...

It does not work like that in the UAE or any of the other GCC states. All expatriates that are being employed or offered positions have to have a tertiary educational qualification. There are a few exceptions to the rule, but normally only unskilled labour and artisans will be permitted to work in t...

If you leave at the end of the contract period, offering 1 months notice of your intention (at the start of September 2009), then y...
