i kind of understand what you are trying to say, but you are confusing the issue.

without valid attested documents it is impossible to get a legal labour card and work legally in the UAE - this is the law, and cannot be changed

Yes, your husband will have to cancel your visas before they cancel his. If he does not cancel them he may not be able to re-apply for a new visa for you (and your son) if you were going to join him again. You will need to send him both passports so that the visa can be cancelled.
