taxes

If I'm not mistaken I remember reading that the taxes would be collected through DEWA by adding an appropriate amount to your account? I can't remember if this was to be a "lump sum" or if the amount would be apportioned on a monthly basis. I'm not sure though how DEWA would know what your annual re...

applications

good advice above.
we simply don't bother keeping or filing them as it takes to much time and effort, and generally speaking the job market is so fluid here, that by the time a position arrives the candidates who sent in their applications are already employed or have left the country..

pot luck

i think "pot luck" is the best description i know people whos' art book collections have been censored.. with a black marking pen - purely because they depict the naked body - not in any obsene way either. others have managed to bring thier books and home videos through without any censorship at all...

furniture

IKEA IS cheap, well cheaper than most. The furniture is okay, but considering the price you pay for it don't expect it to become a family heirloom. base your selection of furniture on whether you plan to be here a few years, or just a short time. you may want to make use of your opertunity in dubai ...

spas and beauty shops

spas' and beauty salons have to be segregated male and female, which i'm sure you are aware of. the salon it's self has to be registered with the department of health, as the workers actually provide a health service. in addition to this all employees have to have a medical every year, the same as e...

your school needs to be accredited and registered through the department of education in dubai before you can open the doors. additionally your staff need to have accredited teaching qualifications and recognised diplomas - these have to be attested and registered as well.

package

i'd say what they are offering is very borderline - if not below what you require. 1. you will have to pay the sponsorship fees for your wife and kids out of your own pocket. 2.most companies provide the employer with a ticket home once a year (annual leave), again many companies do not extend this ...
