a friend of mine wanted to buy a SUV to use in abu dhabi. budget is about 94k aed max. what are the options?

how is the 2003-2004 Prado?

it need not be a solid off roader as long as it drives well on the road.

and no he is not looking for x5 type handling or land rover type off roading

but does the v-kool or the 3m for that matter reduce the heat in the car? how are they different from the normal tint??

ive seen lot of +ve reviews about it. the processor is good, the keyboard makes it a bit bulky. only thing is HTC (the ones who supplied i-mate with the device) has cut its ties with imate and 02, so ROM updates in future are uncertain. the dopod 838 which is same as the jasjam might be a better buy.

the stock HID xenon i think is about 4600K, i like the 5000k ones as they are pure white and can illuminate the road best.
6000k, 8000k are more blue-purple tint and the light output is less(meaningg u see less of the road ahead)

since the new 2007 x5 is coming out, anyone know if the 2006 models prices will drop? and if so to how much for the 3.0 V6 model..... i promise to drive properly

i too tried to rent a car, u need to have the UAE license for atleast 6months for all rental agencies. with any other country license +international license u can rent a car though, too bad i dont have a intl license. as for new cars yes insurances will insure you no problem. but SOME #%^#@ dealersh...

just spoke to the bmw folks, they got no deals 200k++ AED for the 2006 x5 3.0 base model.

so booked a Lexus RX350 instead. it was way cheaper and fully loaded too. the gps was quite funny as it told us we were in the water while driving on the Corrniche!!!

3m and v-kool are the more popular and better brands. dunno about the others, has anyone (website) done any comparative test with diffrerent brands of tint in same car same outside conditions???

with new license insurance was 6.5% for a the Lexus RX350. it wud have been only 5-5.5% with a year old license
