You already gave it away by posting the wikipedia entry and the bit about the shopping center. You should edit that post if you want to keep it quiet.

Irish nationals can get a free 60 day visit visa on arrival. I don't know if there's a minimum age requirement though.

How do you know the nationality of all the members here? Anyway, most Emiratis speak Arabic as a first language so it would make sense if they spend more time on Arabic forums.

I've done inter-emirate travel on a daily basis for a few years. I'd rather do Dubai to Abu Dhabi return than Sharjah Dubai, or across Dubai. It helps if you live in Al Barsha, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim. If you're starting from Deira, that will ba a pain, especially on your return journey. ...

Re: Are clear tints allowed on the front windscreen

MNK78 wrote:clear tints

Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

If you don't like what the tint workshop tells you, try a different one. You can usually find someone to do what you want in Dubai. That principle probably won't apply so well if a policeman stops you though.

I'm asking you why the higher earning expats are leaving DXB on a daily basis? I can think of a reason, but if you know the facts, please share them with me! I just tried to find one. That's not easy (except for Syrian sections of general or travel forums).

www.cafe-syria.com/syria-forum/default.aspx - doesn't look active
www.syriapath.net/forum/ - maybe a new one, no posts yet

Start one yourself?

My boss has just mentioned that visit visa's are now only stamped for 30 days at a time, whereas I was informed the maximum was initially 60 days. Visit visas for the 33 visa on arrival countries are 60 days. Other sorts of visit visas are 30, 60, or 90 days depending on what the visit is for. Tour...

one couple recently got jailed and deported. For living together? Or getting drunk and playing in the sand? There are many topics in the forum about living together. A summary is it is illegal, many people do it anyway, if you don't advertise it you probably won't get in trouble. Police don't spend...
