I think you can sponsor unmarried daughter but not son. If s/he working, should get visa from employer, if s/he studying, get student visa, if s/he a bum, I don't think DNRD offers bum visas yet .

I've met Lebanese and Egyptian Christians with Arabic sounding names so I don't imagine that's an issue. Somewhere in all the forums you fill in for visas etc you'll be asked what religion you are. And I think on the alcohol license application.

Telecoms? There's two that operate in the UAE - Etisalat and Du. There are others that operate elsewhere but have bases in Dubai.

I think when it comes to work permit, if you are called a manager there are stricter requirements - you need a degree? But not for "executive" which could explain why the title is used much more.
