You can drive on UAE driving license without residence visa.

Sometimes passport copy is asked for. Might depend on emirate, mood of tester, time of day, who knows.

1. Dubai? Awful (labour camp) to fantastic (expensive villa or apartment). SRS? Don't know.
2. Yes - School of Research Science
3. No but if accommodation provided you'll survive. If you have 0 years experience and newly qualified then it's reasonable.

Re: calculation

How would they calculate the three months severance?? Gratuity is calculated on base salary, 21 days per year for less than 5 years, maybe less if employee resigns. Compensation for arbitrary dismissal is calculated on base salary and up to max of 3 months. I think dxbsoul is referring to the second.

Compensation up to 3 months of base salary or to end of contract (if less than 3 months) is what labour law says for arbitrary dismissal.

The last time I flew with them was with a business class ticket. When I came back via Doha, the business class lounge refused entry to me because the Doha-Dubai sector aircraft didn't have a business class section. I sent a letter of complaint, got an unsatisfactory response, and stopped flying Qata...

I'd say it's at least worth a visit to a lawyer to get a legal opinion. And if the company finds out you've been to a lawyer, that might rattle their cage enough to give you something - just let it slip to the office gossip and it should get back to management. I did that once and got all that I tho...

Accommodation noticeably cheaper in Al Ain, eating out cheaper although there are plenty of cheap places in Dubai, alcohol cheaper, most other things similar in price.

1. Probably not if they are obviously personal effects, and there isn't a huge discrepancy between your stated value and what customs think they're worth. 2. If you have multiple copies of the same thing then you might have some explaining to do. Or you have material that is obviously anti-Islam. Ot...

Type: Probably a visit visa.
Validity: 60 days before entry, 30 days stay, not renewable.
Cost: 500 dhs (I think).

You could also look at getting a tourist visa for Dubai. Cheaper (110 or 220 dhs) and renewable once.

Immigration ban different from labour ban.
No ban if transferring within same free zone because sponsor not changing, otherwise check with free zone office or labour deparment - different rules apply for each free zone.
