You should file a complaint with the labour department. Then at least there's a record of the issue. That may make a difference with the ban.

I thought the ban lifting fee was no longer an option but I've heard mention of it again recently. Ask the labour department.

I don't think any of those do medicine, and I've not heard of an MBA in medicine - maybe there's a specialisation in hospital management or similar? There's a limited number of universities in Dubai, or the UAE, for medical studies. Try one of these: American University of Dubai (I don't know if the...

No. The UAE is an Islamic country. There are churches here but I doubt they offer anything more than prayer groups or study groups.

If you're staying in a hotel, they can a tourist visa for your wife.
Or ask the airline you're booked with. Emirates and Etihad can do tourist visas, don't know about others.

1. Depends on whether you transfer to another FZ, government job, or private sector outside FZ. Get an NOC to be safe.
2. Yes.
3. Depends on the terms of the agreement you signed. Probably yes.

AUS should know where to get it certified? Usually you need to get certificates authenticated by the issuing institution, then the education authority (MOE in Sharjah?), then the country's embassy and/or foreign ministry or similar (which shouldn't apply for a UAE labour card since you have a UAE qu...

1. Rental contracts are usually 1 year on your own, or variable if renting a room. One month two cheques doesn't make sense. Usually 2 cheques means you pay 1 year's rent in advance split in 2 cheques, the second one post-dated 6 months away. 2. Depends on landlord. Some don't care, some want to see...

I don't see how they can report you as absconding if your residence visa (and presumably therefore your work permit) has been cancelled. The grace period is 30 days. As far as I know, that's a federal law. After that, you get fined for overstaying when you exit or get a new visa. If Al Hamriya immig...

(which is gleefully hidden by the official weather centre), It's not. They reported over 50 a couple of weeks ago. Last year a temperature of 51.4 C was reported . 58 C is unbelievably hot. If you park your car in midday sun when outside temp is 40+, after 5-10 mins it is likely to be up to 55-60 C...

Cost of living in Abu Dhabi is similar to Dubai is accommodation is provided. If not, then much more expensive.

7000 not great but if car allowance and all other items in list included, then you can live. A little.

You should still be able to enter on a visit visa. Ban is on work permit not residency.

Employer in free zone is not usually your sponsor so you might be able to work for another employer in same FZ.

I thought Ministry of Labour imposed ban anyway, not the free zone?

If you resign then you will probably get a ban. If they haven't fulfilled the terms of the contract and are not willing to negotiate then your first step should be to call the labour department or a lawyer.

Only the police know what they will do, and the system can be inconsistent depending on so many variables. But if the choice is between no money and a chance of some money by going to the police, then I'd go to the police, but get proper legal advice from a lawyer first.
