Good work but it took me a few tries to get signed up. I think it's the 0s and the Os that I get mixed up and some of the letters that look the same whether they're capital or not y and Y for example...

Legally? Property, shares, salary increase, better job, start a company...

Illegally? Probably variations on the above.

Enjoy the (relative) peace and quiet while you can.

Imagine how many cranes and constructions there will be in a couple of years when even more projects are progressing further - Dubai Waterfront, Dubailand, Dubai World Central, Deira Palm, more metro lines...

And your driving licence - for renting a car. The international licence on its own isn't worth anything.

If you drive someone else's car then you need to get a temporary license from the traffic department.

The Dubai Summer Surprise season starts, or has started. There may be some dealers giving a discount on cars? I've seen good deals on Fords that were 6 months old from Al Tayer - ex-management cars. New cars from previous years are cheaper but they're worth less also because of depreciation.

Fun? Yes
Cheap? Yes if you eat at Ravis
Expensive? Yes

Jumeirah is popular for accommodation. Try Mirdiff, but anywhere is difficult. Or wait till 2008/2009.

Radio show was talking about this last week. One phone-in said he broke a car window to let a suffocating dog out. Owners went nuts and called the police who charged him for damaging car. Police said he should have left dog alone. Does that principle apply to children too then?
