I am guessing you are american but could be wrong. I am also american and in the same situation as you with a wife and two kids. We have been here for 8 months and I can safely tell you that the offer you have is not enough for you and your family to ENJOY being in Dubai much less saving some money....

No guns for expats.......period. Locals can have them on some level but it's handled through the govt. They barely allow kids to have toy guns if that gives you a sense of the attitude.
