Well, I've been monitoring hotel prices and availability on December. The prices didn't change which means availability is pretty high.

Hope that's not so bad for u quatro and the other hoteliers. But 150, that's a bargain

just to correct you... 5star hotels will never put the prices too low for public... there are standard prices we (hotels) can't sell the room for less because of many reasons... and one of them credibility... imagine our hotel announce to the public that the rooms are for only 300 AED or even 500 A...

I read about that on the news. I just didn't see it happening to someone I know and I wonder how many of those guys would be heading home.

I think people will start coming home...a lot of people came out here for the tax free income only to return home and enjoy life there as there is more of a buzz in Europe, America and Oz. Now that the cost of living is so high, it doesn't really warrant living out here. Dubai will be dead soon and...

- Emirates Palace (check their calendar, they have plenty of events)
- Qarm Corniche (very quite, a good relaxing spot)
- Sheikh Zayed Mosque (Great Architecture)
- If you want a day use: Sheraton (Salam Street, Corniche) or Al Raha beach hotel (around 30 km before AD)
