the us dollar is fixed against the UAE Dirham so it does not matter where you change dollars you will always get the same rate.

the dollar is at a 26 year low against sterling. If the rate drops and it will, you will be better off agreeing the rate as at now. Then when the rate drops you will be better off in getting more £'s to AED.

The true inflation figure is probably much hiher than 9% Ian. If local government is calculating the index figure then you can bet they have not included things like % increases in housing etc.

I read a few months probably 6, that the estimated true figure is around 15% inflation

This is correct, you basically need a dedicated skybox or cablebox in the UK to have the sole use in the UAE.

Cable TV is horrendous both in quality, choice and cost in Dubai so the cost to install a dedicated sky ststem in the UK is well worth while

you are in a freezone ya numpty, so yes you can have DU or DIC.

Most of downtown/deira/mirdiff etc etc cannot have DU or DIC, well thats my understanding as i said.
