Liban is correct Credit in th UAE has no connection or relevance to the sort of credit checks/history in other countries. It is based purely on the amount you earn and your recent bank statements. Otherwise, like myself, the bank will give you a credit card if you lodge the same amount as the credit...

i can only speak for New Hampshire, Mass and Florida Liban, may be diff in other states.

There are now 2 types of residency visa. I have an "investors residency visa". This allows me residency obviously, but it does not allow me to work, and is quite clearly stated on my passport residency visa.
