For wired networking, All you need is a ethernet switch / hub whatever you call it + network CAT5 cables to connect/network these PCs [Assuming that these machines are ethernet enabled]

a vpn setup might be the best option for you. Could be slow, depending upon what connection you (probably a business one connection - adsl)
