it happened with someone I know with a similar issue... two tickets, 24 blackpoints... car got impounded and his driving licensee for one year!!!!.. well, he was one of those very first victims of this system after 3 days of it being enforced... you may get lucky if you go and try speaking to them....

just a piece of advice, invest in a radar detector and be on the safe side!
i will try to get hold of the guy who accompanied me to deira muroor many times to get my car bailed out.

No ways! I go to AD once or twice in a month or two. It gets crazy everytime i reach jebal ali (while returning back to dubai). believe me you wouldnt have time for yourself + the petrol expenses (thats if you are paying from your pocket) + the back ache and stiff legs you would have driving everyday.
