I think u mean Jebel Ali.

Not sure what ur budget is but u'd be looking around Greens, Gardens, Meadows, or Dubai Marina.

Price is around AED60-85k/year.

Yah, ditto to chocco, there are some really piss poor ones out there but at the same time Karama and Satwa have good ones. I prefer Karama ones cause u can find some good fabrics around there so its just more convenient - ie park your car once and spend a couple of hours walking around.

Oj, apologies... I read "you only get to drive" as in you were saying its only an STi :)

Having had a rexie/STi for 5 years I can say it shits on an A4 in every sense of the word.

Maite, apartment in Dubai Marina area would suit you down to a tea. Stones throw away from the beach and later on once the marina is all complete and Jumeirah beach residence is all done you should be able to pick up some business from the people in the area. I know of one marine repair shop but tha...

yup 200kmph after jabel Ali ends it was fun, he tried more but then a road camera came Pfft... I fang past that between 3rd and 4th stretch. Past 5th interchange only one camera is actually working (near gate 5 entry to free zone) so you should be able to comfortably average around 230-250 in that ...

Lumina is actually a rebadge Aussie trash car - dime a dozen there, namely the "Commonwhore". Typical no taste yobo car. Good for chewing tyres but terrible around bends.

Supra not that much better... GTR anyday of the week!

If you have no outstanding loans/mortgages in your home country then AED32k/month should be reasonable living. Depending on where your work will be and where you want to live you'd prob want to budget around 120k/annum for a villa - guessing u'd go down this avenue as you are coming from the land wh...

What also brought it home to me was when I bought my car. I was told by our Indian male secretaries that they could have bought 4 large houses with the same money, in a pretty good neighbourhood in India. I actually felt embarrassed! Ditto... No, not all charge the same account keeping fees. The amount of the fee and whether you have to actually pay it depends on which account you choose and whether your company has corporate banking arangements. Some banks have a grace period after opening the account where by if you do not deposit/tran...
