Information I received stated it will soon be compulsory that the main member of the family obtain an e-gate card upon renewal of residency visas and for this reason our company will start reimbursing all employees for the cost of an e-gate card.

Re: IGNORANT BASTUREDs just ignore

The reaction that you all are giving is the reaction that your whole community has "As long as i dont see it its ok!" Don't know about anyone else but that kinda seems like 'generalization' to me. Print my post and show it to some more arabs of let them read it and reply me back with some sence in ...

Maite, I'm not too picking when it comes to this. I have a few little dust bits in my tint even though it's 3M and applied at the approved fitter etc but I figure a spec of dust here and there is not worth the trouble of driving back and having a new sheet put on. End of the day it does what its sup...

HSBC are the only bank that have no early settlement fees - even within first year.

Others entertain the idea if you finance your new vehicle through them.

Taxi drivers scare you? They've got as much bite as fluffy wittle kittens ;) In anycase I've started using an unmetered cab service company. Just call to book in advance and he arrives promptly so you're not late - traffic permitting. Actually works out to be cheaper than a DT cab and you get ...

Could someone tell me more about this incetive fee?? Thanks There's no inferiority complex nor is there an "incentive fee" as such. More the fact that you get a better salary/package, as you are being pursuaded (expatriated) from a different economic (western) background with higher wage rates etc....

Marina is nice, but the amount of new apartments coming up is rediculous (and its only going to get worse). The amount of construction people lingering around etc is not a sight for sore eyes - even worse than the amount of dust around the place. Give it another year or so and if they loosen up the ...

Have a look in the online classifieds - www.gulfnews.com

You'll be able to get some links to the usual suspects - Western Auto, 4X4, etc etc.

Also try picking up an Auto Trader mag. Plenty of dealer and private listings with colour.

Going by your post he'd fit into the 3rd level, pretty much on par with secretaries and the like - fantastic prospects!...Not...

If he's in Europe he'd be better off staying put and earning some real money, unless he's able to get relocated out here at someone else's expense.

How much of and how long you're stuck in traffic will depend on A) where your work is and B) where you choose to live. You can't do much about A but you can do a fair bit with B to help reduce the 'footy' lags. Beaches here are nice but I still prefer the beaches back home especially when you don't ...

First thought was along the same lines as all others here - taxi drivers are the stinkers... But it dawned on me... they must be so used to their own stench and hence the smell of deodorant, perfumes and colognes (that passengers wear)must be rather offensive to them as it kills their stink glands. ...

Some of my friends working at the Dusit and various foodcourts and Thai restaurants are earning only 2000-3000 aed per month and still mana...

Funny, I thought traffic was bloody great during Ramadan. I could get from Marina to Satwa in 15-20 mins at 6pm everyday to play bball... Takes me near an hour outside of Ramadan timing.

During your training you get 2k aed per month, when you start flying you end up earning around 7k aed per month.

Mind you they do put u up in some decent 2/3 bedroom apartments (although, 2 bedrooms are usually next to impossible to get), most with individual bathrooms.

But think of the other side of the coin... the used car market here will not return you much in 3 years time and bringing a 3+ yo car back there is not going to be worth the effort either. If your vehicle has been bought under finance there then that just makes the problem even worse cause financing...
