Slm au alaykum has anyone photos or links to pics of everyday real Dubai - after all I'm sure you dont all live in those hotels......... I would like to see pics of the poor local's homes - the immigrant house builders dormitories, where you all live ....... the bad roads - the lack of greenery........

Is there an English medium newspaper locally or an Arabic one who would either print in English or translate it for me?

Slm all, what is winter like there? I moved to North Cyprus with 2 suitcases and very little 'winter' wear - ok so it didn't snow and no ice but as most houses are not built for cold temps I nearly lost some toes in Feb...... ok slight exageration :-) What do I need to make sure I bring with me?????...
