Any tried any in the marina area they can suggest? Perhaps pricing also if you have that. I see there are some to choose from here for example: http://www.timeoutdubai.com/ramadan/offers/all-categories/all-date/dubai-marina Finding those a little spendy.. Something between 50 and 85 is what i had in...
Oh.. What is supposed to be there besides wondering camels?-- September 10th, 2011, 9:01 pm --If anyone wants to the inside of this place then there is going to be an event open for all. Some kind of FINA swimming championship. Here is more info: http://www.dubaichronicle.com/2011/08/25/finaarena-sw...
Lets not start any flame warm here.. However perhaps someone could explain the logic behind the two following ramadan questions I have: 1) You can't eat in public. Ok, fine.. However when a place like dubai mall blocks off full view of the food court I do not understand the logic why people/tourists...
Perhaps odd, but thats the way it is. I donot have much problems with it. Anyways, I avoid Muslim countries during Ramadan. A food court serving food out of sight still produced food smells. No alcohol during the day, I guess they just want to prevent drunken people walking the streets who might ge...
Here are my answers/comments as an Emarati, to your two questions.. 2) I don't like alcohol, and I wish I could ban it totally from Dubai. A glass of fresh pomegranate juice is surely much more tasty, healthy, and cheaper than alcohol. Again, its Dubai's government point of view, and if we citizens...
It will be interesting to see indeed. I have to say, I frequently see local Emarati in hotels enjoying wine with their meals. So i'm not too sure about that support you speak of. Anyway, this was off topic. Thanks for clearing up the questions. Are the rules different in other emirates about eating ...
Ok.. Another question then.. If your doing hard labour digging outside in the sand for example in the heat.. Most anyone would say its dangerous to not drink in that heat. I specifically read somewhere on gulf news that even hard labour didn't warrant any food/drink consumption. I presume whomever w...
I'm looking at some new flats to rent.. One which I am eyeing has natural gas hookup for the stove/cooktop. I don't want to debate the benefits of each. Everyone has all sorts of opinions about this. The question is savings. Is cooking with natural gas much cheaper in Dubai then electric? I like to ...
Thanks for feedback on this topic.. However it still doesn't answer my question.. If I were to choose a gas stove/oven instead of electric, would this mean a considerably savings in energy use? Any idea on the gas charges on the palm? I don't see gas mentioned anywhere on dewa.. They show only elect...
I'm wondering if there are any laundry services here in Dubai which work under a different price plan then charge per pieces. I used to work on a island in the Caribbean where they would charge a flat rate per bag of colours, another flat fee for a bag of whites, etc.. This was a simple wash type se...
Ok.. Well at least I can entertain you with my questions.. If you ever watched Seinfeld you would see they have this service in New York also.. Thanks..
Well, it doesn't make sense to invest 1000aed if it isn't going to earn any interest and just sit there.. If they saw your paying your bill after 6 months or something and said, ok, we will give it back this would make more sense..
I'll go electric then since its easier to clean the surface anyway..
My parents have a full induction cooktop in Canada, working on it is just amazing.. The instant feel of gas with over 90% or more of the heat/energy going into the pot.. The surface remains cold actuly and only after the pot heats up does it warm up the surface.. Basically it heats the iron molecule...
If I was in Canada and needed gas for heating, I would say ok.. But to spend 1000aed then use very little for cooking per month doesn't make too much sense... You could go a step further and use gas for refrigeration and gas water heater.. Then your consumption would go up and perhaps make more sens...
I think Canadians are very cautious with their money, not saying its a bad thing, infact a good thing specially in this fiscal climate. I had a friend born and raised here after living in Canada for a few years he won't even buy bottled water when on visit. Carries a bottle around with him and refi...
And I bet there are 100 other stories people can tell us.. Point is, don't deposit unless its really really needed I guess and you have no choice.. This is why subtracting over time from this deposit would make sense.. But they like keeping your money instead.. So it works well for them..
Anyone have any idea what the fixed monthly cooling charges are for studio's in Lago Vista and Cresent in IMPZ? Empower wants me to go all the way down to their office to find out.
