Hello all, I'm getting annoying with all my questions, I know! Ah well! I was wondering the following: I'm moving to dubai in january and wanted to know how much money I will need to live decently and cover my living charges until I secure a job. I will be living with friends for the first few month...

so the macbook pro is about the same price as here, good to know. However the parts seem a tad more expensive, I could build the same configuration here for about 4200aed right now and right after boxing day (dec 26th) I'll probably be able to get it for about 3400aed excluding a display of course, ...

actually Dark Knight, there IS evidence that thermite was used, and they were even able to tell that the type used is thermite that's patented by a US company and that has a slightly different recipe from regular thermite. If you do some research over the internet, you will quickly realize that the ...

I do realize that the real estate market is not doing very well in Dubai, and some might even think I'm stupid to go work there when I already have a well paid job here, and that I could also work as a real estate agent here where the market is doing well. However I have committed to this move, and ...

Motion: I assume you are talking about Panasonic Toughbooks! They are great laptops, the police, military and construction people use them here and they are tough! A little overpriced for me though, and I don't like the ultra low voltage processors they use in them. They will probably have the Acer ...

Tom Jones: True, religion is much more what you have between your ears then what you eat, do, or drink. What happens when you judge people is that they become defensive, and once this is achieved there is no possible understanding or exchanging of opinions/views. I was never scared of my opinions be...

I have a client who's a Saudi royal wich I won't name, and I handle all his needs whenever he comes to Montreal (restaurant reservations, limousines, bodyguards, vip entrance to clubs etc etc). He tells me himself that he has to maintain the image of a good righteous man, but he drinks like crazy, c...

I think religions have very noble teachings, and it sickens me to see people manipulate them to create division and hatred. Well the royal family is composed of over 30 000 people, and Khaled is very popular in Saudi Arabia, so I could try something like "Hi my name is Khaled Al Saoud" and then flash my best used car salesman smile, with my fake lambo key of course!

is there really no difference between champagne and prosecco? And how much does a bottle of prosecco go for in Dubai? As for Lambrusco it's made out of red grape and red wine gives me headaches for some reason, maybe I'm still too young to appreciate it!

As Knight said it, another copy/paste situation here, and besides, this information is widely known so no, that ain't no scoop! What would be my equivalent salary in Dubai

Hey guys, I thought it would be a good thing to ask how much I would need to earn in Dubai to match what I earn now. As some of you know I'm planning to work in the real estate field and I currently work in the hospitality industry. As someone suggested before, I might want to consider a job in the ...

I figured the real estate market would be dead, or almost. Well I might try to find an management job in a hotel then, I've seen positions that pay about 10000-12000 a month plus accomodations on hcareers.com. Hope the real estate market comes back to life soon enough, I'm going to dubai to make mon...

Did you mean a Chevrolet Aveo? I couldn't find any Avea on google, and I'll be looking to rent a car soon too.

Let’s talk facts, not sentiments. Upon reading all the above posts, I went and searched independent sources (like the BBC and others) about this new White House Chief of Staff (Rahm Emanuel). You can do that yourself with Google. Forget that his father was labeled a terrorist by the British when th...

No offense to anyone but I think it's a bit naive to really believe Bin Laden and his gang did the WTC job. The us goverment and the CIA have a longggg history of doing not very nice things to their people, covertly of course, and then blaming others for it. It used to be the communists, now it's th...

as for the evidence, the argument is too easy. How do you expect to have evidence when the same people who did the job are running the investigation? The 9/11 commission report is the biggest joke ever.

well I think it all depends on how you see things. I think hiring a cheap car is a good thing when you just arrived in Dubai. It allows you to have wheels until you take care of the visa issue (unless you already have a visa waiting for you). It allows you to keep your costs down until you start get...
